Animal Lovers Cat Lovers Dog Lovers Dogs Furry Friends Unawakened Soul

Whether you own dog, cat, bird or even a lizard, to love and care for an animal is so rewarding. To have your pet greet you at the door at the end of the day, giving you licks and hugs when you need it the most, taking long hikes in the woods or just always being a companion by your side.
Like so many pet owners, I have a tendency of getting so attached to my animals. Pets are so loyal, they truly love us unconditionally, they are always willing to be there for us, during the best of times as well as some of our hardest times. The best thing of all, they do not expect anything in return, they just want to be loved.
Throughout my life, I have  had the privilege of owning many different dog breeds. Yes, some were more rambunctious than other's, some were not as loving, but at the end of the day, our reciprocity of unconditional love, always prevailed, knowing that they are our loyal furry companion and them knowing who their special human was.
My old girl Kiera will be celebrating her 11th birthday this July. She has been such a loyal, loving dog, I'm definitely attached to her beyond measure. I have been very fortunate to be working from home since the onset of COVID. She doesn't leave my side, she actually follows me all over the house and lays at my feet through the countless video conferences throughout the day.  Over the past year Kiera has definitely slowed down a bit. She doesn't bounce back as easily from playing in the yard or after long walks. She will however, always be my special girl who I love with all my heart. Make sure to cherish your furry friends and celebrate the special bond that you have with them each and every day!
